Supereroica, our ultimate multi-day  stage tour


Supereroica is the name of a bike tour itinerary that we have selected and tested for our guests.

It ideally connects Florence with Siena winding though  the stunning countryside that surrounds the two cities.

The ride follows a sort of circular loop passing through Chianti, Val d'Elsa, Val d'Orcia, Crete Senesi.

3 different routes are available, all basicly following the same itinerary, but depending on the kind of bike tour that you choose : mountain bike (or mtn e-bike), gravel bike or road bike.

Of course the road bike version is entirely on tarmac roads, whereas gravel bike version is partly on gravel roads, following entirely the long route of L’Eroica, the famous International vintage bicycle ride.

Should you prefer the mountain bike (or mtn e-bike) version, together with many stretches of L’Eroica, you would also be riding parts of the ancient Via Francigena.

Length of the entire Supereroica bike tour is calculated as follows :


gravel bike version :  6 days for the avid riders or 12 days for the easy riders 


road bike version :  6 days for the avid riders or 9 days for the easy riders 


mountain bike or mtn e-bike version :  12 days for everybody, supposing the easy riders riding a mtn e-bike




Of course, for those who are planning to spend less days for their cycling experience in Tuscany, we have splitted the Supereroica bike tour into the following 2 possible combinations :


1) FROM FLORENCE TO SIENA ACROSS CHIANTI AND VAL D’ELSA PASSING SAN GIMIGNANO AND MONTERIGGIONI  -  from 2 days (for road bike or gravel bike versions) up to 5 days (for mountain bike or mtn e-bike versions or for road bike / gravel bike easy riders)  -  Return to Florence by train (about 1 hour and a half) or by bicycle adding an extra day (for road bike or gravel bike versions) or 2 days (for mountain bike or mtn e-bike bersions or for road bike / gravel bike easy riders)


2) FROM SIENA TO SIENA ACROSS VAL D’ORCIA AND CRETE SENESI PASSING MONTALCINO, BAGNO VIGNONI, MONTEPULCIANO, PIENZA, BUONCONVENTO AND ASCIANO  -  from 3 days (for road bike or gravel bike versions) up to 6 days (for mountain bike or mtn e-bike versions or for road bike / gravel bike easy riders)
